“Up and Down Breath”

“Up and Down Breath” is a quick way to relieve tension and “clear the mental circuits.” For the first breath only, blow out stale air through mouth. Then through the nose, inhale fully. Hold your breath for count of 3. Then exhale through the nose fully and hold your breath at bottom for count of 3. Repeat 2-4 times.
This is a good practice to clear the circuits before starting a new task, like responding to a child’s stress, or starting a computer task.
