The Box Breath

Directions:

  1. Sit up tall, close your eyes and go inside.
  2. Start by blowing out the stale air through your mouth.
  3. Through your nose, breathe in for a count of 4, then hold in for a count of 4.
  4. Breathe out for a count of 4, then hold out for a count of 4.
  5. Drop your shoulders as you exhale. Repeat 5-7 times.
  6. Do a comfortable count (about 1/second); use same speed of count for all phases of this “square” breath.
  7. Open your eyes and notice how you feel.
